Love and Lust

Longing for your touch
I was in love, but you were in lust
Waiting for your kiss
It was the only thing you’ve missed
Dreaming about the nights we’ve shared
The thought of you fills me with despair
Wanting to still share my heart with you
Even though you broke it in two
Wishing the past would stop replaying in my mind

What I would give to leave the memories of you behind

  1. I would have preferred the second line if the last part read “but you were lust”…lovey poem nonetheless.

  2. Beautiful and so well written. Can’t wait to read more of your work 🙂

  3. Very nice! I love this part “Wanting to still share my heart with you / Even though you broke it in two”
