Poem #147

I am so angry that I could set the world on fire.
I would like to get a baseball bat, enter a room
filled with glass objects and crush them the way
you crushed my heart. I just want to see where the fun
is in destroying perfectly functioning things.

I am so angry that my scream could cause an avalanche.
I am so angry that flowers around me start to die.
I am so angry that I could run miles but the scariest part
is that I would run miles right in your direction because
all of this anger still can’t beat my love for you despite
the pain you’ve caused.
