Tale of Winter

Your sunbeams first
touched my cursed
land and I awoke.

The warm summer
rain of your love revived
the drought of my soul.

When you reached
for my heart I breathed
again and we bloomed.

I could start raging
fires with what your eyes
ignite in my chest.

But my raw
sense of life chased
your love far away.

Your absence rivals
Russiaโ€™s deepest winters and
my heart shall be frozen.

Until your touch
and your love
and your warmth
set me free again.
