We are not bad people
We just did bad things.
We’re not bad at being alive
Our lives just tore us
inside,
left fighting to survive
We are just broken creatures
From a broken land
Our wings cracked
By another’s hand.
We are rounded
And grounded.
Imbalanced and
Imperfect.
Our disappointments never drowned,
Confusions never crushed
Even with souls open for the sun,
we are covered with clouds.
