Poem #336

I am giving everything away
and the bar is low.
You just need to love me a little bit more
than I love myself and that’s easy to do.

  1. Love and loss are always similar by one thing shared. It’s that we must love someone else more than we do love ourselves. As in, if you are wishing for another to love you more than you love yourself, then they will most certainly love you, more than they love themselves, as well. Doing the latter, is not always an easy task for the lover.

As I once heard, “We only ever recognize the value of something, once it is lost.”
