Sad Notes

I dare to touch your delicate voice. Your words cry out in muted tones. Muted tones reaching out in a quest for sustenance without screaming.

Your heart throbs with sad notes. I hear it on your sleeve. So walk with me. Walk in moments not glancing. We will build castles of distraction so memories dissolve if even for just one breath.

I wrote this piece for a fellow writer. Grieving the loss of a loved one is surreal. There is no one size fits all of what grief looks like. When you wrote of your burden you were not looking for advice. You were trying to get your head around things. This is for you.

About me: I am a writer and artist. I have been blogging now for a couple of years with a focus on the everyday. As a creative writer I often create poems and prose to tie in with stories I hears from people I meet in and around my community.

“They are the everyday stories I come across. Usually stories related to me by a neighbor or friend. I wrote this piece below for a fellow writer after reading her blog earlier this year. She was grieving. Grieving the loss of a loved one. There is no one size fits all of what grief looks like. When she wrote of her burden she was not looking for advice but trying to get her head around things”
