Questioning my beliefs

Yesterday I went to GeekCon with my friend. He is into that culture and it’s personally a complete mystery to me. I haven’t even seen Star Wars. The decision to go with him when he invited me was primarily because I’ve never been to such an even and I wanted to see what it’s like. The only thing I recognized immediately was a big statue of Dobby. That’s the extent of my geek culture knowledge.

It was a small convention but it was fun. People wore very elaborate costumes which I loved. There were so many details put into it but I was worried that they were cold because some were basically half-naked on 0 degree weather. We also listened to a very interesting lecture about voice acting.

Our last stop was a fortune-teller. We went there to hear what she’ll tell us and now I am questioning my beliefs. She read tarot cards and she didn’t get my friend as much, but that woman described me as if she knew me her whole life. It was a very weird experience hearing someone describe you so thoroughly without ever talking to you. Did I research Tarot card and readings when I came home? Yes. Am I interested in numerology now? Also yes.

I am not a religious person and I never believed in horoscope etc., but stuff like this really messes with your head.

Love,
Luna
