All that sugar

Hello guys!

Here we are on another Friday that used to be a joyous occasion pre-2020. How are you doing?

I’ve had many small, little addictions through my life, whether it be a TV show or smoking. Well, that’s an extreme range to pick from – a show and an addiction that can cause lung cancer.

You know how I deal with my issues and pass the time – I go and have little projects like learning how to cook, do makeup, starting a Youtube channel. I sound like a person that has a lot of free time and trust me that is not the case.

One little project I wanted to start in order to better myself is….. Drum roll please….Kicking my sugar addiction. I talked a little bit about my toxic relationship with food in Recovery and Coffee

I was able to just stop smoking, one day I said enough is enough. I stopped smoking when I was 23 after 7 years. And yes that does mean that I started smoking when I was 16. I am not here to be role model as you can see.

Considering how decisive I was when it came to kicking my smoking addiction, I am amazed at how difficult it is to stop eating sugar. I am referring mostly to chocolate, candy, junk food of that sort. Since I was a little girl, I was addicted to sugar and can you blame me and other kids like me. It’s literally everywhere and people do not talk enough about the addiction it can become for some people. Us, sugar addicts, deserve our own rehab facility.

I understand that it is not a very popular subject because a lot of companies and people stand to lose a lot if sugar consumption becomes heavily regulated, but still…

I have never struggled with self-control as much as now. I have been experimenting this week to see how long will I last being sugar-free. I failed. Several times. And it’s really easy to fail, I mean have you ever been in a store? There’s just chocolate everywhere.

Some people think that this isn’t such a big issue and that we should just “not buy it, don’t eat it” but it a big issue because it still is a type of an addiction and the drug is very much accessible and cheap most of the time.

It’s just annoying and I do not like the feeling of not being in control of myself. Do you have any advice on this? Have you or someone you know been through this and have some tips and tricks to share?

Am I actually talking about this?

Hello everyone and don’t judge me because of the topic I decided to talk about in my new video.  

The past few days I dealt with heavy subjects and I just wanted to give my brain a break so I talked about social media and the Kardashians because there’s nothing more synonymous in the world than that.  

If you don’t know, and ignorance is bliss people, an unedited photo of Khloe K. was posted online and they made a circus off it. I will just be giving my honest opinion about toxic body image that is imposed on us, toxic Instagram culture and how this family has negatively contributed to both.  

I cannot wait to be crucified and insulted if this video catches the eye of one of their diehard supporters.

Step by step

Hello everyone! 

I am getting better. I know that my last post was just me having an absolute meltdown so I just wanted to put this out there. I am getting better. 

I read all of your comments and hopefully I will manage to reply this weekend. It was all overwhelming for me which is why I did not start replying sooner and did not put out a new post regarding all of this.  

The best path for me now was just dealing with the mess in my head and putting that first, the rest will fall in place once the fog is lifted. Here’s a nice spring picture that I took yesterday and made me happy:

Thank you for being so wonderful and so supportive and full of love! I was very sad to read that many of you can relate to what I am going through because I don’t want to think that any of you feel this way but on the other hand it made me feel less alone in it… If that makes sense.  

I know that Friday is Youtube video day, but this Friday will be an exception. Feel free to checkout luna.theblog youtube channel if you haven’t already. 

 As soon as I am back up on my feet, I will resume my usual blogging activities. I am actually getting some posts ready because nothing inspires writing in me like pain.

I am ready to go nowhere

Being girly and broke.

Who has been sticking to an upload schedule for the second week in a row. MEEEEEE!

Hello everyone and happy Friday!

I am very happy that this Friday finally arrived because I am going back to Zagreb and I will see my boyfriend (I know he reads my blog every day and I wrote this on purpose), my paycheck is coming and the weekend is coming.

I will finally go and return those boots I talked about in my new Youtube video so I will also get my money back and finally go on a hunt for a new pair of winter boots. I am not at all excited about walking around a shopping mall to return a pair of boots because the corona situation in Croatia has escalated.

How are you doing and what are your plans for the weekend? Let everyone know something good that happened lately, we can all use a bit of positive vibes at the end of the work week.

New Youtube video

Hello everyone!

As I said, I will start posting to YouTube regularly and it is finally happening. Since my blog is reserved for yours and mine writing, I decided to move my other passion to Youtube. I am a girly girl when it comes to clothes, I love the smell of a fresh delivery early in the morning so I decided to share this on my YT channel.

Promotions and Mondays

Good morning guys and happy start of the week.

I decided to just come here, on Monday and just talk to you for a moment. I haven’t been around on the blog, I was actually scheduling the posts for weeks and wouldn’t even check in for a day or two and my guilt is kind of killing me.

Recently, I got a promotion at work and ended up at a position and with a type of job I’ve never done in my life and this has been consuming me for weeks. I have this obsession with getting things done right, on time and being the person that knows her wa around her work and I was just thrown into a position where I started to learn a bunch of stuff all over again.

Am I the only person complaining about a promotion? I think so!

I mean, I am not complaining, but there was this adjustment period to this job where I was just dreaming about excel files and the problems I need to solve. I wish I could be the type of person that can just let work go once I close my laptop but I am just not.

Anyway, the stress levels are down now, I have stepped into my new position and now I will dedicate more time to you guys. I actually have a little thing coming today or later this week, depends when it will be done. I decided to put that Youtube channel I made for my vacation blog into use so I will be uploading there more regularly soon. No, it will not be about poetry or writing, but some other stuff a girl enjoys in life.

This is it for me, I hope you will have a lovely week. It’s a rainy Monday here, but my coffee is just clearing the clouds and getting me all hyped about excel files.
