If You Were Mine

IF YOU WERE MINE
I’d run a mile
Cover every crack in a mine
Just to make you smile.

IF YOU WERE MINE
The gods would know
I’d be your everything,
Your servant, your king
I’ll pick you up when you are down,
I’ll be the drug to your high.

IF YOU WERE MINE
You’d know every pleasure known to a man
You’d never shed a tear apart from that of joy
For our love I’d wage war on every man, even Troy.

IF YOU WERE MINE
You’d know that every heartbeat of mine belongs to you
I’d let them know that your heart ain’t meant for breaking
And your body is meant for sweet love making
And if one day we were to grow apart, I would break, fold and die from my broken heart.
