Little Proposal

Little I am,
A boy of seven.
Big but is the heart I offer.
Will you take it?

Little is the pocket money
I carry with me.
Big but for an ice-cream everyday.
Will you share mine?

Little short I am
Compared to the big boys.
Big but to climb every tall tree.
Will you climb with me?

Little slow I am
With my growing legs.
Big but to outrun many while playing.
Will you play with me?

Little I am,
A boy of seven.
Big but for you of six.
Will you grow with me?

Little I am
As is my proposal.
So will you like me
As much as I like you?

It took me years to come to terms with who I always really was. Now, I want the whole world to know it too. Who am I? I am a struggling author. This poem is an attempt to tell people that they are not alone in their struggles. There are many like them, who are struggling and surviving.
