When I was a kid, Aunt Marion
read me seashore stories
about the giant whale that swallowed Jonah,
and the scary Moby Dick tale.
We watched horror movies
on her Sony Trinitron
as the sharks circled us in salty waters
and the pirate ships rolled in.
