“Nothing is over yet, we can still…”
“I failed her,” he whispered and a silence fell over the room. She knew that type of pain. She felt it every time her kids would witness a fight at home and when her son had to wash the blood off her face. Physically Nox was there, but mentally he was completely lost and unaware of the world around him.
“You are not alone,” she told him because it was what she needed to hear so many times and never did.
