My actual name is Ana while I use Ana Luna as a pen name. According to Google, because I know nothing about my own name, Ana means “favored grace”.
I also stumbled upon Ana being seen as the protector of unmarried women, women in labor, childless women etc., based on St Anne. As a woman that doesn’t really have a desire to get married or have children, I see the vision.
I decided to dive into the lore behind the name Luna as well, even though it’s not my official government name. I already knew that Luna means “moon” in Spanish and I wrote a whole story behind the name Luna and why I picked it as my pen name.
Now, according to Google, the name is only linked to the symbolysm of the moon and in Roman mythology, she was the goddess of the Moon.
So, favored grace, patron of women and the goddess of the Moon. Sounds good to me.
