To-read list

Bloganuary writing prompt
What books do you want to read?

I cannot believe I don’t have a list as an answer for this question. Lately, I have been working on some personal “projects” and, unfortunately, I had to cut out reading for a while. I usually had my reading time before going to bed and I still read before bed but it’s no longer novels. Now it’s the Project Management Body of Knowledge. It’s not as fun as Scandinavian crime novels, but it definitely puts me to sleep.

One book that I would love to read is Bhagavad Gita. I wanted to read it for a while but I never seem to get around to it because I enter the library and leave with 5 random books I wasn’t even planning on taking out. But it is my decision that I will read it this year. I would also like to read more poetry or even a good romance novel.

The problem with me and romance novels is that whenever I would get something from the library (I pick random books going by my gut feeling), these novels would very often be either disappointing or a bit cringy for me. If you got some recommendations, drop them down in the comments.

That’s it from me today, thank you for reading!

Love,
Luna

My book is available on Amazon: Rehab

The Bhagavad Gita is not that great — sorry. You should try reading Meister Eckhart or Thomas Merton. As to poetry, try Red Bird by Mary Oliver or Charles Bukowski the last night of the earth poems. The great thing about poetry is you don’t need much time — just an appetite for delicious, beautiful words. Take care, Julian

  2. I love to read vintage YA and children’s books from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. It is fun to read some of the same books and series I grew up with and see how different they feel as an adult, and how different the world is now from what was portrayed back then.

  3. Take a look at my book The Death Owl! Poems & Reflections. Available on my Amazon Store Jennifer J. Newhttps://www.amazon.com/shop/jennifernewwritesandreads I took a look at your poem book. Way to go!
I love to read but I am also working on two novels, a children’s book & my two sites, socials and my store. I read after supper and also in bed.

I do THE SAME THING! I go to the library and end up picking books with titles that sound interesting or covers that look clever. I left with Eragon, Magyk, Inkheart and Echoes Among the Stones. The first three were excited suggestions from the young librarian. 🙂 My mom is turning 80 this year and she has a secret book series of murder and mystery she wants to buy me bless her!

    Happy Writing and Reading! :)Jen

  4. I am totally dissatisfied with Julian comment, I am from India and Bhagwad Geeta is our Holy Book and this book includes everything that the world has in it and what is missing it doesn’t exist. You should read Geeta
