What’s the thing you’re most scared to do? What would it take to get you to do it?
If I am scared to do something easy, that isn’t dangerous, it’s usually a personal problem and in that case, I have to solve it in my own head. There’s no bribe that can change my mind if it’s telling me not to do something. It’s more of an internal struggle.
When it comes to things I perceive as dangerous, you cannot bribe me to do it. There is nothing I will take in exchange for doing something dangerous. I am very much the child of war refugees when it comes to things like that. My mother did not escape a whole war in order for me to die doing stuff like bungee jumping. Usually people have arguments such as “you can get hit by a car everyday” etc., and yes that is always a risk but I have to go outside in order to live my life. What I do not have to do in order to live my life is jump out of an airplane.
When it comes to feeling actual fear or anxiety, I have to admit that I experience them more in relation to the future and my life. I am still figuring stuff out and the fear I commonly experience is that I will live an empty life, make the wrong choices, never accomplish my goals or feel regret etc., and the only solution to that is live life despite the fear.
