Positivity Press #21

Hello guys, Luna here for The Positivity Press today!

I hope you are all having a wonderful week filled with happiness and accomplishments. I have some exciting news to share with all of you today. I GOT A NEW JOB!

I am so thrilled because finally I will be able to work in a job that’s more in my field of studies. As you know, I studied foreign languages – Italian and Spanish. My first day is on Monday, so you can expect updates then. It will be kind of difficult because I will have to travel to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, every day but I am so excited. I promise that I won’t neglect all of you here on Luna and that I will still keep up my work, post your works at The Poetry Bar and The Positivity Press. To go off topic a little bit, I just want to say that I love the effort you all have been putting to build our Positivity Press. I think it’s so nice that every morning I have at least one positive email from all of you to put up on the blog to start off our day with some happiness and sunshine.

So as I said the job is in Zagreb. I will work for Calzedonia in their call center and I will work with Spanish people and probably English as well and I am so excited to actually be able to use Spanish in my work. When I went to the interview I was very nervous but I just loved the work space, the people were so lovely and I hope that everything will go well and that I will get a hold of the job soon. Yesterday I went to celebrate my new job with some gin tonic. Love to drink it!

That’s it from me today. Now tell me what have you been up to and make sure to send your positive vibes and stories.

If you want to share positivity here at The Positivity Press send in your positive news with pics and the link to your blog (if you want) to postpositivity@gmail.com

Zadar’s flower

Zadar looks so beautiful! There’s an exhibition currently taking place there and it’s called “Zadar’s flower”. I went for a walk with my friend yesterday to check it out and I was just left impressed with how much work did everyone put into this exhibition and how beautiful it all looks.

The exhibition was set on the Zadar’s seafront so the smell of flowers intertwined divinely with the smell of the sea salt. After the walk my friend and I grabbed a cup of coffee, chatted for a bit and then went home. Here’s some pictures for you now.

Transformers exhibition

Hello guys! So this post is completely unrelated to my blog but I really liked this small exhibition here in Zadar. It was a small Transformers exhibition near the bridge. Since I took these pics with my phone they aren’t really good but I hope you like them. These transformers were humongous.

I just have to translate this sign for you because it’s awesome.

“ WARNING! Please don’t touch or climb onto the Transformers. Every contact with the Transformers will be at your own risk.”

Black and white

Throughout my life I’ve learned one thing about me. I’m an extremist. I go from one end to another and the middle in an unknown area for me. It’s black or white, hot or cold, happy or sad. No middle. Even when it comes to the clothes I wear they’re either bursting with colors or they’re one colored.

It got me thinking about life. Is everything really black or white?

In terms of relationships are we allowed to have a gray area? Let’s say you have a boyfriend/girlfriend but you meet someone else who you also like. If you can’t decide what to do you’re standing in the gray area and you are running the risk of hurting two innocent people but if you picked one side, black or white, you’ll only hurt one person. It still isn’t perfect but it’s better than two. In my opinion relationships would be much less complicated if everything was black and white because when we enter that gray area we lose ourselves and we get confused about our whishes and feelings.

In terms of everyday life events we are surrounded by gray areas because the most demanding job is living. There are numerous options and we rarely know which one is right. To be honest none of us ever made a decision that we didn’t question a million times.

For example, you wanted a certain job but didn’t get it so you had to settle for something else. Are you in the black area and everything just went to hell? Even in my black/white opinion I think that sometimes we should just believe that we are in the gray area because there is still hope that we’ll step out to the white side of the story. Maybe that job is just a step towards something better, a promotion or some new job opportunities.

I’m no expert in life but I’ll just be honest. When it’s just about you wander the gray area, let yourself be lost and give yourself a chance to find yourself all over again. When you are running the risk of hurting someone cross the gray area and work fast because you shouldn’t hurt someone just because you don’t know is it black or white. Maybe you’ll end up hurt at the end but I think it’s easier to survive some pain than to live with your conscious and guilt every day.

P.S. So this is what happened. My FB page was deleted for some reason and I had 2000 fans. I’m trying to get back on my feet so could you help me a little with pressing like.

I moved!

Hey everyone! For the last few days I was a bit absent and the reason why is that I was moving to my new apartment. I’m actually from Croatia, a country in Europe and I’m 19 so I enrolled into a university this year and I had to move 400 km from home. I used to live near the capital of Croatia but now I live in Zadar.

It is a beautiful town and I already love it here. My apartment is a few meters from the beach and it’s so peaceful and beautiful here. As you could tell from the poem I published last night I’m already in love with the sea here!

I decided to put my camera into a good use so here are a few pictures of the place I live and I will be publishing much more photos of the town as soon as I get completely settled. Enjoy!

I’m a soul

It’s like I was stripped down naked
and placed in a shop-window to be criticized.
They’re finger pointing and pressing me
into fitting their measurements like
they carry the whole world in their hands.

They captured good life and people’s will
into their superficial world. We can’t even
walk out without being told that our appearance
doesn’t fit in with their rules.

What scares me the most is the thought
that they are society and we are a part of it.
We created it just so we could become self-destructive,
abusive dictators of misery.

‘’What you see is all there is’’ became our politics.
We’re desperately trying to design everything and
make ourselves all look like empty mannequins.

We don’t know how to say ‘’They can go to hell
I’m doing this for me’’ because we are too busy
trying to blend in.

If they manage to get to me I’ll just repeat:
‘’I have a body but what I am is a soul.’’
