The Fix

Eating from cans in between
Flashes of greatness, fame
The up high with the downtown
Can’t keep it up for hunger
Only made it for a good friend
He leaves, I sink into irrelevance
Found out he’s no angel
Since he loves me hungry
For what I’ll never attain
Sustainable when I’m fed
But still…
Eating from cans in between
Flashes of greatness, fame
Can’t make it stay, gone away
To fill my soul with his goods
Awaiting my next fix
