Life Sonnet

Our origin, shared across wayward lands
Unbroken, alights the way, paths well worn
A soul splinters, as sacrifice demands
That moment, baby and mother are born
Woman and mother, god like in power
Give life as it was given at behest
Value we garner, derived from each hour
Each day full of life, with no time to rest
Time is entwined in the gift that is life
But what of age, a number, and no more
When spent in the stars consider it rife
Times held so precious, with time become lore
Of Love, purpose of life, the only reason
And the answer to weather each season
