Proud yet resentful

Always a challenge
Better than me
Crafty hands get her high notice
Damned is my place in this journey
Eventually I could play catch up
Fabulous they say when she finishes
God ? Where is my gift ?
How much longer must I wait ?
I love her, proud of her, yet also resent her
Just my emotions perhaps
Killing the positivity
Lingering thoughts of over 30 years of trying
Maybe I really need to, wake up
Not everyone cut out for the finer things
Oh, but my words flow
Perhaps I need to refocus
Question myself
Really Now, the spark is there, don’t resent, don’t let the emotions win
She loves you because you do have that SPARK
Take that to heart
Usually the heart overcomes the mind
Vanquish the negativity
Why ? Because your love is stronger
X does mark the spot
You are wonderful, caring, thoughtful, creative & artistic as your wife is successfully crafty
Zesty should be your middle name

  1. Very interesting poem; I like the letters of the alphabet beginning each line.
