Scared to fail,scared to fly
Afraid of being caught in this carousel we call life
Simply existing in a universe that is beckoning with opportunities
And yet, here I am chained to the ground with crippling fear
Am I afraid of flourishing, or never getting the chance?
I’ve got a fire in my soul, diminishing with each day passing
Everything I was afraid of before, seems minuscule to pain when I think of standing still
It makes no sense when you think about it, fear of doing the very thing you are cemented to
When will be able to break the chains and finally be set free?
Time is of the essence and I am hypnotized by the clock
Each tick silent, but boasting oh so loud
Fear of failure, the sun is again going down
Another chance missed, maybe next time around…
