Well, I decided to use one of these daily writing prompts to tell you that I am the type of person that loves to run. I developed a love for running in high school, but since I do not enjoy group trainings or participating in sports activities alongside others (I am not completely antisocial, I swear) I would usually run for my own pleasure and when I had the time. Unfortunately, I hurt my foot and abandoned running for years.
It was one of those situations where you always tell yourself that you will do it tomorrow, or start next month and then years go by and you still didn’t move. I got back to running this year and it took a lot of time. Since I had issues with my foot, my orthopedist already told me I shouldn’t run on the sidewalk or on inadequate surfaces so I got a treadmill at the end of last year and I really got back to running this year, especially the last two months when I managed to run 50km (31 miles) in October and 64km (40 miles) in November.
It helps me clear my head, manage my stress levels and overall is just beneficial for me. I think it will take me this whole month and maybe the next one as well to get back on track with running because I got Covid and it has had an impact on my body. I used my treadmill to just walk yesterday, very light pace, and I could barely walk for 20 minutes without losing my breath and having to step off the treadmill. Even when I took a walk outside, I had to walk very slowly so I wouldn’t get too winded. It happened last year when I had it and it took me about a month to get my body back to normal.
So, that’s my favorite exercise. What’s yours?
Love,
Luna
Don’t forget I have a book you can get on Amazon: Rehab

Running’s a good exercise, I like that.
May you get well soon.
Walking with my dog ..we both win.
Take it slowly … you’ll get back in good time. The worst thing you can do is rush things. Enjoy it. 🙂
“It helps me clear my head”
Whenever someone tells me that about running, I always get confused and suspicious because when I run the only thing in my head is a voice telling me to stop running! Ha!
Keep it up and keep at it. I ran for many years but I have issues with foot pain so I just bike now. There’s nothing more beneficial to the mind than running in my opinion.
Well said Luna. It’s also invigorating and makes the whole day better. I jog personally or walk and do a bit of cycling.
