I cannot keep my eyes open from 3PM-7PM. Can these temperatures chill, literally?
Everyday it’s between 30-38 degrees and I am handling it really badly this year because I don’t have AC in my rented apartment and it gets very warm here, especially when I cook and I just go through this extreme state of exhaustion for a few hours because I cannot handle the temperature.
I always need to take a 20-30 min nap in the afternoon which is very weird for me because I never, ever, ever sleep during the day no matter how little sleep I get during the night. I used to love summer but I really hate it this year. Not only is it too hot, I also cannot spend time outside because of the meds I am on for my skin. It’s annoying as shit.
Does this happen to any of you and do you have any tips? I am already watching my water intake and all of that but I don’t know what to do about this fatigue. I mean, moving to a place with AC would be the best option, but the apartments in Zagreb are too expensive, there’s almost none on the market for renting so I need to stay where I am.
Got to go now, I have to go tape my eyelids up to keep my eyes open.
Love,
Luna

Luna Top Tip
Lower your body temperature by having a cold bath for 20-30 mins at least. Then, find a comfortable space and place yourself against the fan (set it on motion). It won’t increase your productivity, but you will be happier for a while.
All the best, Petros
Our apartment is pretty hot too, but thankfully the humidity is low, so it does not feel that warm. We don’t have an AC unit either, but we make by with a couple of fans and other things to make it nice inside the apartment.
Regarding sleep, I can understand you. I have to take naps sometimes, but not thanks to the warm summer weather. Last night I slept like a rock, but did not get enough sleep so I’m tired due to that.
I’m always tired due to medical reasons so I’ve learned to live with it, but it’s annoying to never feel like you’re perked up. Coffee and/or caffeine only makes me jittery and anxious so that’s not a great thing either.
