What is your favorite animal?
Dogs, dogs and more dogs. I love them and I’ve had several growing up. I also had a bunny. He was beautiful white with red eyes. I stopped having pets once I moved away from home to study and that has persisted today.
There are several reasons why I no longer own pets. One of them is that I live in rentals and the landlords often refuse to allow pets in and I get that because I have the exact same rule for my apartment back home that I rent out. Even if I were living in my own apartment, where I make the rules, I would still not have a dog because I work and, even though I am a hybrid worker currently, I would not feel okay with leaving a pet alone, locked up in an apartment for an extended period of time. I am not disrespecting anyone who does that, it just wouldn’t work for me primarily because I grew up in a rural area, had a big garden where my dogs could run and they were always out on fresh air and I simply cannot imagine putting a dog between four walls.
I wouldn’t mind having a bunny in the apartment, but again I cannot do it right now because I am not allowed… but now that I wrote it down I kind of want a bunny in my apartment. It would be so nice. I know they like to chew through chargers and everything but that is avoidable if you protect everything. It would really be nice to have a little bunny. When I had mine, back when I was a kid, I would let him out to run around in the garden and then I had a marathon for about 30 minutes trying to catch him. I always had to keep an eye on him when he was out because he could crawl under our fence and we lived right next to a street. And we would often cuddle on the terrace and he would be on my chest and I would stroke him which would leave me covered in white hair. Listen, people, I WANT A BUNNY.
Now I am all sad because I can’t get one.

I had several pairs as a kid, and one night something or somoene stole a couple. My dad only allowed me to keep fishes..he didn’t like seeing any animals caged. Like you, he believed they should have room ro run free.
