In the end it’s not about surviving,
getting air to breath, swimming to the
surface. It’s about smiling through the
chaos and the hurt because they can
rip off your youth but they can’t take
your soul.
They can try to tie you up to their beliefs
and tell you who you are and what you are
supposed to do but they can’t take away
your soul, the glue that keeps your body
together.
They can try and they will try but you just
have to light a candle in your heart when
the lights go off and follow your own path
I like that, “smiling through the chaos.”
