Midnight in the Diner

Seated at the booth
Devouring burger and fries
Watching conversations and
Chewing the fat
Fluorescent hue beating on
All our domes

Words float and mingle
Spread over the floor like butter
Accents mingle as eggs and peppers
In an omelet
Coffee scented voices
Rise and fall

The world is all around
Within my arms reach
Continents seated
At the counter
My love for us
Is extreme
