An imposter with your words,
they slide off your tongue like a simile magically brushing my fingertips.
“Beautiful is in the eye of the beholder”;
But unauthentic screams linger
from a voice as impure
as your wisdom.
I will not go unheard.
Like a bird flying from its coop
I must stoop to your grandiosity
to take the jump.
A freefall but I will be lifted
from the wings of disdain
and make a name
for what I’m silenced for.
