Poem #383

The thick mountain surrounds it.
The entrance is through the cave.
When you draw the lianas apart like a curtain
the view is breathtaking.

High trees and colorful flowers.
The fresh scent permeates your skin
The only sound is the birds chirping
and the waterfall hitting the lake’s surface.

Your feet will carry you to take a swim
and without thinking twice
you will wash away the outside
immerse yourself in the flowing light.

Spend a day or two sleeping under the stars
they are visible here unlike under the city lights
If you are lucky enough, the full moon will keep you up
You can admire how it shines

Take a moment or two to reflect
How wonderful and how eternal
and how beautiful and all yours
this inner world is.
