It has been exactly one year since I’ve published Little Rebellion, which is my first novel. The other two books I have up on Amazon are Rehab and Identity Crisis which are poetry books.
I reflected a lot on the publishing of this novel and what it has done to me and for me in the past year. I went through a whole writer crisis after publishing because I felt like I lost a part of me when I stopped writing and I also couldn’t push myself to start writing the second part. I managed to pull myself out of that and then the first negative reviews came and I had to learn how to deal with it as well.
I am 56 pages into the second part and I feel like I’ve been reunited with an old friend again. A friend I sometimes want to chuck out the window, but a friend nonetheless. All in all, it has been an emotional journey but at the end of the day, I am proud and happy I managed to do it.
