What’s something you believe everyone should know.
With the “in-shambles” state that the world is currently in, let’s get into this.
The reason why a lot of political platforms fall apart under the slightest bit of scrutiny and criticism, it’s because they are based in hatred which has no roots in logic. It’s also mind-numbingly easy to build a political platform on hatred because there’s always a problem people are dealing with and the easiest way to gather followers is to give all these people someone to blame. Oh, you cannot finance your family in a double-income household? Don’t you worry, the problem is not policies set in place, capitalism, greed and lack of worker protections. It’s migrants. Don’t ask how and why, just believe that if we get rid of them, you will magically get such a large pay raise that you will be able to retire early.
These people who are fixating on a single group, often a minority, and they put all their rhetoric and power towards discriminating against them do not have the backbone or intelligence to actually tackle societal issues in an impactful way and that is because they do not care about you or anyone other than themselves.
Question everything, don’t tell yourself it isn’t “that deep” and call these people out on their bullshit.
