Do you ever see wild animals?
I live in a city, so wild animals are not really roaming around. The most I see when it comes to animals is dogs and cats, both are always welcome in my book.
I did grow up in a rural area, but even then wild animals weren’t a regular guest. My thing is, if I see an animal, I do not mess with it and that applies to all animals. I do not touch people’s dogs, unless they come directly to me for a cuddle, and when I want to pet them I will always ask for permission.
If I saw some animal while hiking or something similar, I would keep walking. I am not in the business of trying to get myself into the ER. I am not scared of animals, far from it, I just don’t see the appeal in messing with animals or pets that you don’t know. I don’t even have some trauma from my past, I was never attacked by an animal to feel this way… Unless I count the fact that sometimes chickens would run after me when I would carry them their food, but they never hurt me.
I personally do not have a pet because I live in a rented apartment, but even if I were in my own place I would opt out of having a pet because I don’t believe I would have the time to properly take care of it while living in an apartment and not a house, especially now that I only work one week from home. My preferred pet would be a dog and they need to be taken on walks and stretch their legs and how am I supposed to do that if I am gone for like 10h a day? No insult to people who work full-time jobs and still have pets, but I personally wouldn’t do it. I had dogs my whole life, while I lived in a house with a big yard, and I just like to see and think it’s necessary for animals to have their space.
I went completely off subject.

Luna
