in the shadowed recesses
of my mind
i’ll keep the secrets
not easily shared
the thoughts which wound
myself and others
hasty utterances withheld
avoid bruises of the heart
diplomacy, caring or tact
call it what you will
this maturity gleaned over years
demands it

My mind in a poem.
Thanks for reading!
I do wonder what thoughts go through people’s minds. The mind is so complex and interesting
Thanks for commenting, Hannah! If there was one superpower to have, I think being able to read someone’s mind would be the one I would choose. 🙂
That’s a great pick and you are most welcome 🦋💫
🙂 BTW, thanks so much for the follow on I Write Her. I do hope you continue to enjoy my thoughts. <3
It’s my pleasure and yes I look forward to seeing more posts from you 💖
We need more poets. We don’t pay them enough to lie to us.
Maybe one of these days we will get paid enough! 😉 Thanks for commenting, Jorge.
