Just waiting for the weekend

Guys, I can’t this week. It’s one of those weeks that just doesn’t seem to end and I cannot even remember when it began.

I have so much work to do, I had to work two afternoon shifts because I had doctor appointments in the morning, I am still struggling with insomnia and to top it all off, I got my period.

Also, my visits to the doctor have not been the greatest. I paid to get a full checkup done (to see a doctor, do an EKG, abdomen ultrasound, blood work etc.) because I just really wanted to do that for myself. I didn’t get everything done yet and I got a bunch of recommendations for further check ups, including getting my lungs checked out because there’s allegedly something wrong with my breathing, like I cannot inhale deep enough or something (I didn’t quite understand the doctor, I am waiting to get everything in writing)

The morning I had my blood taken out was a disaster. As a kid, I was severely traumatized by needles because I was too skinny and the nurses could never find my veins and they turned me into a dart board once. It hasn’t happened to me since I was a teenager and yesterday, for some reason, the nurse couldn’t find my vein again. When I tell you I almost lost it when I figured out she was poking my hand with her finger a bit too long and then she told me that my veins are “very deep” in and that it might hurt. She had to use my other hand as well which was not pleasant and I almost cried. I honestly had no idea how much of that childhood trauma was still with me. The nurse did manage to get my vein in the other arm and she had me sit down a bit after everything was done because she was scared I would get lightheaded.

And today I finally got back to my regular shift at work and I had plans to workout when I get home. When I tell you that I cannot move a finger with how tired I am, I am not joking. I spent the whole day staring at excel files and I am mentally exhausted and it’s showing on my body and my overall mood.

I need to recharge this weekend and eat some good food and finally get some sleep.

Here’s hoping that tomorrow goes better!

Love,
Luna
