I think that there are many events and experiences I could describe in details that formed me as a person, but what I want to focus on more is one type of experience.
I think that what helped me grow the most was hearing “no” in my life. I am a pretty persistent person and hearing “no” will most likely make me push harder or find another path which forces me to be creative in my own life.
I, of course, enjoy smooth sailing and being given what I want but that is often too easy and doesn’t present enough of a challenge for me personally. In my opinion, if I didn’t hear no very often in my life, I would’ve been much less resourceful than I am today and I think I would have a high sense of entitlement.
This can also go the wrong way, because sometimes when I hear “no” my answer is “watch me” and it doesn’t always go well. But still, in most cases, hearing no benefited me in life and I think we all need to hear that word from time to time.
Love,
Luna

Check out my latest video:
My wife’s father told her she didn’t need to go to college because she was a woman. She worked full time while in college and subsequently becoming a Certified Public Accountant. She said to me recently that her greatest motivation is someone telling her she cannot do something. So far, she’s done what she’d said she’d do since I’ve known her. I only say no to her when she asks if I want another helping of food. I rarely even do that.
