Alive and well (kinda)

Hi all,

This is me giving signs of life. I have had a few eventful weeks. I spent around two weeks on holiday and then afterwards attended a wedding and then I was supposed to go back to work in the office for a week before being on work-from-home for two weeks.

That week was horrible because I had the sort of vacation that you need a vacation from (pics and stories will come soon), then I had the wedding to go to and I came back to work with my brain on vacation-mode. I was so tired constantly, I felt like I couldn’t get into a work routine and that I just didn’t have enough time to catch up on everything. Also, the weather drastically changed. We went from 30+ degrees to 10 degrees. It was raining constantly, and the wind made it worse.

I know there have been floods across Europe, so for all those affected, I hope you are safe!

I finally made it to the weekend. I spent last Friday in the theatre with my friends and I had plans to go to my grandma’s 90th birthday on Saturday and I was looking forward to my two weeks of working from home to get back on track with everything.

And then I got Covid. I felt a bit ill during the week, but I thought it was because of the drastic weather change. On Sunday I decided to test myself for Covid because I felt like a train hit me and I was going to see my grandma and when I saw those two lines on the test, I wanted to fucking cry.

The Sunday that was supposed to be family day turned into “rot in bed” day for me. I was really sick, my sinuses were severly impacted by the virus to the point where my nose started to bleed a few times a day because it was so sensitive and iritated. I spent the day in bed having a Harry Potter marathon because those are my comfort movies and I needed them.

Luckily, it was raining up until today so I didn’t even want to go outside. Today, we finally have some sun so I will go on a walk when my shift is done. My strength is back for the most part. I noticed I get exhausted easily and I still have a hard time breathing properly and inhaling deeply but I hope it will all go away soon.

Once my two weeks from home are done, I am supposed to go to Italy for a work trip for two weeks which is the first time I will go away for work for that long and I am kind of nervous and not because of my job but because I know, I KNOW, I have a sensitive stomach and two weeks of hotel and restaurant food is going to mess with me. But hey, if I have to have a stomach ache I might as well have it because of Italian food.

Anyways, I will get some pics from my vacation uploaded for you soon and you can also check them out on my IG and TikTok which are both under the name luna.theblog.

Thank you for reading this train of thoughts!

Love,
Luna
