Guess who has laryngitis?
My God, this sucks. I feel like I am losing my mind because I am not speaking. It started last Wednesday, but I was convinced it was just a cold and then on Thursday evening my voice was just gone. This is the first time in my life that I actually lost my voice, it just never happened to me.
This is making my life exceedingly shitty. My job is literally 60% talking and 40% Excel spreadsheets. I need to head a meeting tomorrow about my project and I literally cannot put out one sentence without my voice cracking completely. And as someone who doesn’t like strangers in her personal space, I hate when people have to lean towards me to hear me. I know they are doing it for me but I just dislike when people are right in my face.
Don’t even get me started with the coughing. My throat and voice cords are supposed to rest while I am coughing the life out of me? And there’s no actual medicine for this, I need to wait for it to pass. I gave 83 fucking euros, IN THIS ECONOMY, for a nebuliser because it helps with recovery and I am also drinking so much liquid that I might as well live in my bathroom because I have to pee constantly.
I need to stop oversharing on this blog.
Now, if you’ll excuse me I need to go inhale some mist and drink my 12th tea of the day.
Love,
Luna
Don’t forget that my first novel is available on Amazon: Little Rebellion
Also you can get my poetry books: Rehab and Identity crisis
The sickness going around the world right now is so frustrating. I have two cracked wisdom teeth and I keep having to cancel out my surgery for them because I keep getting sick. I am sorry for the frustration you are going through. Get well soon.
that stinks! feel better!
I hope you’ll feel better soon ❤️
Bad luck, one could thing about blogging is you don’t need a voice, but of course in real life it’s very inconvenient.
So sorry to hear you seem to have what I’ve had for the last two weeks. Can barely whisper, feel like I’m coughing up my toes and achy. No Temp, just hoarse, coughing like crazy and achy. I did find that DayQuil and Nyquil in the liquid form helped for some periods of relief. Went to the doctor for the second time last friend and the second doctor gave me a prescription for antibiotics for 4 days and that has seemed to help minimize the coughs and helped the achy feeling too. Might want to see if a doctor can give you an antibiotic scrip???

I hope you feel better soon!
