Favourite people

My favourite people
Are beautiful people
Well, not pretty people
I mean people who have good hearts
People who are kind and understanding
People who make me laugh
And pray for my success
It doesn’t mean they can’t be cute, though
They could be family, friends, co-workers, roommates
Or even a person I just met yesterday
Who eventually turns out to be my better half
Their joy gives me joy
And I never want to see them broken
Those are my favourite people.
