Daily writing prompt
When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Are we all ready for the least surprising answer of all times? I wanted to be a writer. To be completely honest, not just a writer. I also wanted to be a singer, a dancer, an actress. I was always somewhere in the art corner, searching for a form to express myself.

Writing was what was always present and stuck with me. I just recently started taking dance classes as well, belly dancing to be more specific. I have not achieved my dream of writing becoming my career, YET. I am only 28 and I have time to figure this writing thing out. I have self-published and who knows, maybe my books succeed one day.

I think that the main reason I always gravitated towards different forms of art, especially writing, is because I was in the pursuit of creating my own reality ever since I was a little girl. I talked about my history of domestic abuse on this blog before so I will not be getting into it now, but it was a big factor in my desire to run away while being stuck in the same place for years. I loved inventing new people, living through different scenarios with them and just creating stories that had absolutely nothing to do with the reality I lived in. It was my own world.

I used to have stacks of notebooks with my stories in them and I am very sorry that I lost them because it would be interesting to read through my writing beginnings.

What were your dream careers?

Love,
Luna
