How to pick one?

Do you remember your favorite book from childhood?

I learned how to read pretty early on and the first book I read as a kid was The Little Prince. Back then, I had absolutely no idea what the book was about and didn’t understand it because I was a kid and I just used it to practice my reading, but it stuck with me as my first book and it had an impact because it got me into reading from a young age.

I would say that I discovered the books that became crucial to my childhood back when I was in elementary school. I was just browsing the library, looking for something to read because I have read the entire book report list in advance and then I stumbled upon a whole series of books. It was very popular and still is. Its author currently cannot seem to shut the hell up and enjoy her money in her castle. You know what I am talking about, right? I was a Potterhead.

It was really important for me as a kid, both the books and the movies and, as much as I don’t want to admit it, I haven’t discovered a series of books that brought me as much joy as Harry Potter did when I was a kid. I’ve had books that turned into obsessions for me and that I just couldn’t put down such as The Millennium Trilogy and Legacy of Orïsha Trilogy, but nothing made me quite as happy as Potter.

Since I have to name just one book, I think it would be the first of the series because it was, at least for me, the most whimsical one and it was the introduction into this world.

All that being said, I literally hate the fact that they are rebooting the universe with a TV show. It’s going to have a large viewership at the beginning just because it’s Harry Potter but it’s going to flop. At least, that’s my prediction.

I actually never knew about the little prince until I was an adult. But it was definitely beautiful. This question is so hard because I’ve read so many 🙂 but I love your choice.
