What brings you peace?
Lately, I have gotten back into running and it has not only granted me peace but it has also worked as a powerful tool that stops me from going insane. Things have been crazy this year on several fronts and running became the only thing that clears my head and allows me to calm down.
I run on track which also means that I run in circles and this allows me to completely turn off my brain when I am running. The only thing I do is check my watch to see my pace and shuffle through songs. That feeling after completing an exhausting run is the best one. I then come home, have my shower and my post-run snack and continue on with my day or get in bed to watch something on Netflix if I was running in the evening. You know I am getting addicted to this feeling of post-run calm when I am running during summer in Zagreb. It will be 34 degrees today, we are boiling on this asphalt.
Another thing that brings me peace is developing my cooking skills which I have paused a bit because of the whole 34 degrees weather while living in a place with no AC. I am looking forward to autumn and winter so I can continue on with my self-taught cooking lessons. It will be exciting for me to see how I will adapt to a dairy-free life now that I got my whole lactose intolerance diagnosis.
Outside of that, spending time with my friends and boyfriend is always a good antistress therapy and sometimes I enjoy some mindless scrolling on TikTok but I often try to limit it to a certain timeframe so I don’t waste my life on 7 second videos.
To be quite honest, what bring me most peace right now is knowing that starting Friday I am on vacation. Two weeks without thinking about work. I am going to Austria and Portugal and I couldn’t be more excited. One of the reasons why I am going to Portugal is because I have tickets for Luan Santana’s concert and I cannot explain how happy I am that I am finally going to see him perform live.
And what brings you peace?
Love,
Luna

The place of prayer brings me peace. I also I’m learning to love cooking again, especially when I can use fresh ingredients from my garden.
Staying connected to God brings me peace, as well as morning park walks, etc. I hope you enjoy your trip safely to and from.
I find that exercise is good for peace too. It leaves the mind free to wander, or not, as desired. I used a stepper in front of my kitchen island, so I can balance my Kindle on the surface and read as I go along. Hope you have a great holiday which brings you as much peace as you could wish for. 🙂
