Poem #11

I did not fall in love. You came too close to me
and love just crashed into me like a fiery beast.
It bruised my body in the most special way, bit
my neck while I was gasping for air and
made me beg for more pain.
Now I have to hide the bruises and live with
the consequences for letting a beast live inside my veins.
