Poem #92

At the end of the day I need
a drink to help relieve the pain.
I need to drown my problems in your arms
but you aren’t here to hold me tight.
The wine is closing in on me
and you’re no longer my lifeline.
I let you tear down my wall and
I ended up buried underneath those bricks.
You spoiled me with your love
and now I don’t know how to live
without being yours.

  1. Beautifully written

  2. Beautiful poem that really hit home for me. When I got to the last line I realized that I have actually begun to live my life without him any more even though I still love him. Thank you for sharing. 🙂

  4. You are not living without him, you just happen to be residing where he is absent and not likely to relocate.
