My Angel

memories are a bitch
bubbling up
from depths
mourned long ago
tears falling
without consequence
my friend, you are missed

I was in my early 20s when I lost my good friend, Jerry Angeline, in a vehicle accident. His death impacted me deeply. This was our song and what triggered a flood of memories recently. It still hurts.

  4. Oh, yes. For me it’s coming up over a rise at night and seeing the city lights spread out in front of me, and remembering my pilot friend, Lee, saying, “It reminds me of why I took up flying in the first place.” Lee found a mountain inside a cloud 40 years ago. The mountain won. They always do.

  5. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I am sure your friend is looking out for you from above. Thanks for this post.
