Queanbeyan pool

Blue water
white glare
chlorine and coconut oil
splashing, squealing kids
like raucous gulls
demanding ice cream
guzzling chips
mouths open wide
squawking for more
before, with a screech,
leaping,
diving,
back into the blue.
