This week we reached another milestone. For the last year,
365 days, we have had at least one post per day on this blog and this is really
our milestone because there were your works published as well as mine. This
consistency and interaction on the blog has really made a difference. I just
want to share with you our accomplishment.
So in the last year we have had approximately 108,900 views on this blog. That’s a lot and I can’t even begin to count how many comments we have had, we are reaching 4000 subscribers as we speak. It’s all so amazing. This consistency really paid off and it just warms my heart when I read how much you all communicate with each other in the comment section, give each other advices, praise each other’s works. I never thought that, when starting The Poetry Bar, it would amount to so much and that it would actually create this amazing community of writers. Thank you again and here’s to us!
I just wish we have many more successful years. I do feel bad that at the start I didn’t invest as much time as I do now in this blog and I didn’t see its potential but I am so glad that in the last year we’ve built this incredible community of poets and bloggers who support each other, share they work, bring positive vibes and share their abuse stories to encourage others through our guest post categories. Thank you for building and writing this blog with me!
Guys, we just reached a milestone. We have 1000 posts published! Thanks so much to each and every one of you liking, commenting, submitting your work for our guest post categories. I just hope that in the future our family will grow and grow even bigger.
I know I haven’t published any original work lately, but to be quite honest I have a bit of a writer’s block. I have no inspiration whatsoever to write. In the past when I tried to force it, it would only get worse so I am just giving myself some time. I know that inspiration always appears in unexpected places.
This blog is expanding really fast, new followers are coming on board every single day and I’m thrilled! Our little community is not that little anymore!
Since new bloggers who join us have questions about guest posts and don’t feel like digging through the blog to find all of the previous posts here are the three ways you can guest post on Luna. I will probably repeat this post after every 200-400 new followers just to keep everyone up to speed.
Our middle child of guest posts is THE POSITIVITY PRESS – here you send your positive stories, share positive vibes, send pictures, tell us about your new job or hobby and send them to email@example.com. It was designed to bring joy to us on a daily basis and keep us positive and grateful for all the little experiences that happen to us. You just need to send your positive vibes to the e-mail address and attach a blog link if you’d like
And our new born baby is #savingme project – here you can share your stories about any type of abuse you’ve experienced. The email is firstname.lastname@example.org. The project was made to let abuse victims know they are not alone. If you don’t want to share your whole story, you can share how you got out, some advice to people going through this hell currently. It’s a safe place and your story can be published completely anonymously. Also, you can see that I post about my own experience with domestic abuse and not only my story but my thoughts, mechanisms that helped me overcome it etc.
That’s pretty much it. Now, new bloggers and old bloggers let’s see what you’ll send my way. Love you all!
Guys, I noticed that the #savingme email inbox was still quite empty so I thought of giving it another shot. I know It’s weird that I am asking you to send in your abuse stories but I think they could be really helpful to you and to others. Maybe someone reads a story who is in a similar situation and it inspires him to try and say himself, get himself out of that situation and seek for help. Nobody is alone in this.
So please, please, please send your stories in or if you have a friend who has been through the devastating experience of abuse give him this link and ask him to join in. I think it’s important to speak up about matters like this and to let the world now that silence is not an option. The email is email@example.com and you can find more info by clicking here.
Now, you know what’s coming. Another project. More guest posts. More engagement. More sharing! For now we have the incredibly successful Poetry Bar which is still very much active, we have Positivity Press to keep us grateful and happy and now that we’ve hit 3000 followers we are going to have #savingme
You are probably wondering what #savingme is. In my post The story behind the name Luna I shared a part of my domestic abuse story with your because it was necessary in order to explain why I chose the name Luna. It was so incredibly hard for me to open publicly about my childhood and what my father put my family through but I felt so relieved. It gave me strength in a way and your comments just blew my mind. I felt so loved and so empowered in my work that I decided it’s time we all speak up and give support to each other.
#savingme is our new project, our new guest post column where all of you lovely people will be sending in your stories about abuse whether it be domestic abuse, rape, school bullying etc. When you send in your email you have the right to say if you want the post to be anonymous or if you want me to share your name and the link to your blog. The email to which you can send it is: firstname.lastname@example.org
I know it’s hard but writing it down, opening up let’s out all of the bad out of your heart, you feel less resentment and create a space in your heart that can be filled with love and supports from others at this community.
I really, really, really hope that we will bring this project to life and I just want to thank you all for this few months that have been amazing! I love you all so much and hope you have an amazing weekend.
Guys we are close to 3000 followers and you all are just not sending submissions in for The Poetry Bar. Oh, no, no, no! We can’t let our bar run out of business. Let’s review the rules one more time and lets fill our inbox with poems and your faces with happiness as you send in your works!
