I have forgotten how beautiful
How still the mornings are
The fog moves in and out along the coast
You can still see the stars
Cool ocean breeze
Light just Peeking in
There’s the light show
Off to the west
A storm begins growing
Beautiful sounds
Waves colliding with rocks
Then they simply part ways
Seagulls chatting high up, in the sky
Back and forth in the bays
Pelicans just waking
As the sun parts the foggy curtain
And the endless ocean is exposed
The morning horizon meets its own reflection in a multitude of colors
I had forgotten how beautiful morning are
As I watch it unfolding
It feels as though it’s the first time.

Hi, I’m Kevin and I am new to public expressions. My poetry is not and will never be prefect. So I do apologize for that. I enjoy writing and I’m in the process of learn to write with structure although that may not show for while. Thank you all for reading. I hope you enjoy my work. Have a blessed day.
