My work trip has ended yesterday and I am finally home. It was nice and fun but I did miss my apartment. I was in Italy for about 4 days and, I am not kidding, I gained 2 kg which is about 4 pounds. I know some of it is just water weight, but still. Italy is very dangerous for me because I have a big appetite and I don’t know how to say no to pasta and candy. But honestly, it was so worth it. I shared one of my dinners in the post Food is my love language and can you tell me that it doesn’t look amazing.
I also got some candy and cheese to take home with me but I didn’t get what I really wanted. I agreed with my colleague that we will go shopping for gifts the last evening but what we didn’t know is that there was going to be heavy rain. We still went shopping and I came to the store looking specifically for Parmigiano Reggiano and it had to be in a block, not grated. It turned out that the store had a sale on Parmigiano that day and by the time we got there absolutely every single piece was sold out. I settled for some Pecorino Romano and candy in the end because the second store we could go to was huge and neither of us had the will to go there and we were starving after spending the day in the office.
Our flight was yesterday morning and it was my first flight with turbulence but I handled it pretty well. When I finally got home, the fatigue just hit me. I put down my suitcase, took a quick shower and slept for three hours like a baby.
On Monday it’s back to reality and back to my regular office and back to not eating for 5 people every day. After my trip to Italy, calorie counting sounds like hell but I still got some goals to achieve. To be honest, I am looking forward to having a run on my treadmill.
Love,
Luna
Don’t forget that my first novel is available on Amazon: Little Rebellion

Sounds like way too much fun for a work trip!
Sounds more like a mini vacation than a work trip.
I understand your pain with the weight gain! I had the same experience. 😭
