Eve was too busy putting on an act to notice what was happening across the street. He was standing there, in the shadow of a tree, his cheekbones high and cheeks a bit hollow, his dark eyes focused on the entrance of the church. You could see his heart beating through his chest. He slowly walked to the corner of the building and observed them. When he saw her leave, he clenched his fists and put all of his effort into preventing himself from running after her and screaming out her name.
