Poem #371

I wanted to write something
just for the sake of writing it.
Just to know I haven’t lost it
Just to know there are at least
words still living on the inside

It was all meaningless,
a little too much
too insignificant
too loud but quiet at the same time

It was a canvas left blank after hours of work
A song played on a guitar without strings
It was a sea without a drop of salt
Just a broken mirror from which
nothing stared back.

Don’t forget that my first novel is available on Amazon: Little Rebellion
Also you can get my poetry books: Rehab and Identity crisis

  1. I love the imagery of your poem.

  2. Hi Luna, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your poem—it really resonated with me! I review poetry, both contemporary and classic, on my own page, and I hope you don’t mind, but I’ve written a review of your piece. I’ve included the link below for you to check it out. If you’d prefer I take it down for any reason, just let me know, and I’ll do so right away.

Congratulations on your published book and all your success so far! I’m really looking forward to seeing more of your incredible work.

    1. Hello Adam! I cannot thank you enough for your kind comment and your review which made me very, very emotional. It was really touching to read a review that showed such a deep understanding of how I was feeling when I wrote my poem. Thank you again! ❤️
