Home, sweet home

Write about your dream home.

This is painful because I know I am describing something that might never happen. I can acknowledge that I do have a property to my name, but I don’t live there because I don’t want to live in my hometown (at least not now).

Firstly, I dislike minimalism in architecture and interior design. I don’t want a white and gray apartment, I want it to be extra. My thing is dark academia. I really like the whole vibe and, considering that I want to have a library/office in my dream apartment, I think it would go really well with my future apartment. I also need a really big kitchen and I would like to have a big balcony. The living room can be simple – a couch, two chairs, a table and a TV.

The bedroom should have it’s own bathroom and there should be a second one for guests. I would like to have a space in my apartment for my exercise equipment, something like a mini-gym because I don’t want to go to actual gyms. Another thing I would like is a duplex and to have like a luxurious, ornate staircase that would lead to the second floor and I would like to have those plants that twist around everything on either side of the staircase (hope this makes sense)

I am writing this from an apartment in Zagreb that I can barely afford where I sleep and work and spend my time in one room. I would find this depressing but I refuse to kill my own vibe today. I am going to workout now to get my mood up.

Love,
Luna

  1. All the best as you work on your own raven.

  2. Same, I had always dreamed of high ceilings, and it did happen in the end.
I believe the building in the photo is the old post office in Gent, BE, which is a hotel now, at least the upper building.
This sounds like a cliché but dreams do come true
