What are 5 everyday things that bring you happiness?
I wouldn’t call these “everyday” things because some days are literally get up-work-come home-eat-sleep. It’s more of a weekly array of things I try to have in my life to bring me joy.
The first thing would be time with my people. Whether that be a coffee date (I actually have one today), my daily call with my mom etc. Life can sometimes be very shitty and time with my people makes it all better.
On second place we have good food. I am still on my cooking journey and nothing makes me happier than good food and trying a new recipe that turns out well. I am also a bit of a foodie so I do enjoy the occasional restaurant or takeout from my favorite place.
Third one is fitness. I have been consistent with my workouts and running for a few months now and it has done wonders for my health, both mental and physical, and with time I learned to not only enjoy it but to crave it. I will feel like something is missing if I don’t workout and move my body.
I would this put under 3.a and that would be belly dancing. It falls under the category of fitness but since this is my new hobby, I wanted to emphasize it on its own.
On number 4 we have reading. I don’t always have time to sit down and read a book, but I do spend time every day here on WordPress reading poetry and prose from other bloggers.
And the final one is spending time in nature. I was more of an indoors person (which was linked more to my state of mind than my personality) but since I started to take better care of me, I developed this desire to have a certain amount of time I spend outside. Since I live in a city and don’t have a lot of free time daily to go for walks, I usually do it over the weekend.
